(2/16/2011) ESPN reports that Mets RP Tobi Stoner, who underwent August surgery to remove bone spurs/chips from his right elbow, and dealt with a recent shoulder impingement, is feeling good. "I'm very happy with what I just found out," Stoner said after chatting with medical staff.
Stoner headed to Triple-A
(1/25/2011) After being designated for assignment last week, Tobi Stoner and Jason Pridie cleared waivers and were assigned to Triple-A Buffalo, the Star Ledger reports. The two were sent down to make room for SP Chris Young and OF Scott Hairston.

Stoner a candidate for Mets' rotation
(5/16/2010) The questions came pouring in for Mets manager Jerry Manuel after he lost starter Jonathon Niese to a hamstring injury on Sunday against the Marlins. Manuel responded by first saying that recently demoted starter Oliver Perez isn't a candidate to rejoin the rotation and will remain in the bullpen for the time being. Hisanori Takahashi, who was expected to take Perez's spot in the rotation, should start on Friday against the Yankees after replacing the injured Niese on Sunday. That leaves an open spot in the rotation for Wednesday against the Nationals, which could be filled by either R.A. Dickey or Tobi Stoner. Both pitchers are currently at Triple-A Buffalo.
Stoner sent right back to minors
(4/19/2010) The Mets have sent RP Tobi Stoner back to the minors to make room for 1B Ike Davis, who was recalled on Monday. Stoner was summoned on Sunday after New York's 20-inning game on Saturday against St. Louis.
Stoner get loss in call-up
(4/18/2010) Mets RP Tobi Stoner, who was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo earlier in the day, allowed a run on three hits and walked one in 2 1/3 innings on Sunday. After an Adam Wainwirght double in the eighth inning, Stoner was pulled but was still on the hook for the run. Two batters later, Ryan Ludwick homered to left, giving the Cardinals the win and Stoner the loss.

(9/23/2009) From The Sports Xchange notes: LHP Patrick Misch will be available for use as a reliever Wednesday, and his next start could go to rookie RHP Tobi Stoner or RHP Lance Broadway, manager Jerry Manuel said. Misch was charged with eight runs while lasting only 1 1/3 innings Monday against the Braves.
