Ryan Brasier sent back down

(5/21/2013) Angels reliever Ryan Brasier was optioned back to Triple-A Salt Lake Tuesday with Sean Burnett coming off the disabled list. 

Brasier was only in the majors for five days during this stint. He'll likely be back and forth from Salt Lake to the majors for most of the summer.

(5/16/2013) The Angels recalled pitcher Ryan Brasier Thursday, MLB.com reports. Brasier made two appearances for the Angels earlier in May, allowing two earned runs on two hits and a walk in two innings while striking out three.

Brasier has made 13 appearances in the Triple-A Pacific Coast League this year, posting a 6.88 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 18:5 K:BB ratio in 17 innings.

(5/6/2013) The Angels optioned reliever Ryan Brasier back to Triple-A Salt Lake Monday, the Los Angeles Times reports. 

The move clears a roster spot for Mark Lowe to be activated off the disabled list. 

Brasier appeared in two games after getting recalled May 1. He allowed two earned runs on two hits, including a homer, over two innings with three Ks.

(5/3/2013) Angels relief pitcher Ryan Brasier surrendered two runs in one inning in his major-league debut Thursday night, giving up a two-run home run to Nate McLouth in the ninth inning.

Brasier came to the Angels after posting a 6.00 ERA in 12 innings with Triple-A Salt Lake. He has an 18.00 ERA after one major-league game.

Brasier will take Nick Maronde's vacated spot in the bullpen. He owns a 6.00 ERA in 12 innings at Triple-A with 12 strikeouts.
