Report: Orioles acquire pitcher Matt Buschmann from Reds

(8/10/2015) The Reds traded pitcher Matt Buschmann to the Orioles for cash considerations, a source told The Baltimore Sun. Buschmann will report to Triple-A.

He has never pitched in the majors and is 2-5 with a 4.25 ERA in nine starts at Triple-A.

(6/21/2015) The Reds have signed right-handed Matt Buschmann to a minor league contract, per MiLB.com.

Buschmann, who recently opted out of his deal with Tampa Bay, has served as both a starter and reliever in recent seasons. He has been a full-time starter at the Triple-A level in 2015 and has compiled a 6-5 mark with a 3.89 ERA.

The 31 year old has yet to pitch in the major leagues.

(6/15/2015) Right-hander Matt Buschmann has opted out of his contract with the Rays, per ESPN senior writer Buster Olney, who is further claiming that the Red Sox and Dodgers are likely destinations.

The 31-year-old Buschmann has yet to pitch in the big leagues. He is 6-5 with a 3.89 ERA at Triple-A Durham this year.

(4/2/2015) The Athletics have traded pitcher Matt Buschmann to the Rays for cash considerations, OaklandClubhouse.com reports.

Buschmann tossed 3 1/3 scoreless innings in major-league camp this spring before being reassigned. He went 9-7 with a 4.52 ERA and 123:49 K:BB ratio in 133 1/3 innings with Triple-A Sacramento in 2014.


A's option Eury De La Rosa, Chad Smith to Triple-A Nashville

(3/15/2015) The Athletics announced on Sunday that they optioned pitchers Eury De La Rosa and Chad Smith to Triple-A affiliate Nashville. 

With the Diamondbacks a year ago, De La Rosa posted a 2.95 ERA in 25 appearances. But with the A's this spring training, De La Rosa has a 4.50 ERA with two earned runs and four hits allowed in four innings pitched. He's struck out five batters. 

Smith has a 4.50 ERA in two innings pitched for the A's this spring. He's allowed three hits and one earned run while striking out one batter. 

The Athletics also announced that they have reassigned Matt Buschmann , Bruce Maxwell , Alden Carrithers and Niuman Romero to minor-league camp.

They also re-signed reliever Fernando Nieve to a minor league deal.

(3/11/2013) The Tampa Bay Rays continued shaping their roster and made the following moves Monday: pitchers Alex Colome, Frank De Los Santos and Mike Montgomery were optioned to Triple-A Durham; pitcher Enny Romero was sent to Double-A Montgomery; pitcher Felipe Rivero was optioned to Class A Charlotte and pitchers Matt Buschmann, Marquis Fleming and Adam Liberatore were reassigned to the minor-league camp.
