Ehire Adrianza rejoins Giants Thursday

(7/10/2014) Giants infielder Ehire Adrianza was activated from the disabled list after Wednesday's game.

Adrianza, who takes the roster spot of Juan Perez, had been sidelined since June 21 while recovering from a hamstring strain. He returns to a .213/.259/.267 line in 75 at-bats.

(7/8/2014) Giants infielder Ehire Adrianza began a minor-league rehab assignment Monday night with Triple-A Fresno.

Adrianza finished 1 for 4 with a run scored in his first game action since landing on the disabled list with a right hamstring strain. It remains to be seen how many rehab games he'll need before rejoining the big-league club.

(6/23/2014) Giants infielder Ehire Adrianza was placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday, retroactive to June 22, due to a right hamstring strain.

Adrianza was scheduled for an MRI Monday, and the team apparently saw something in the results that put Adrianza's timetable at more than day-to-day. He started experiencing soreness in the hamstring a few days ago. Adrianza has hit .213/.259/.267 in 75 at-bats.

Adrianza began feeling soreness in the hamstring within the last couple days. Not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres, he remains day-to-day going forward

Adrianza wasn't available for the team's game Sunday due to the injury. He's hitting .208 over 72 at-bats in the majors.

(9/2/2013) The San Francisco Giants announced Monday they will be recalling eight players from the minors on Tuesday prior to a game at San Diego, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The following players will be brought up from various levels of the minors: Infielders Nick Noonan and Ehire Adrianza; outfielders Francisco Peguero and Juan Perez; relievers George Kontos, Jake Dunning and Heath Hembree; and catcher Johnny Monell.

(3/15/2013) The San Francisco Giants completed another round of roster cuts Friday, optioning pitchers Dan Otero, Jake Dunning, Chris Heston and Sandy Rosario, shortstops Ehire Adrianza and Nick Noonan and outfielders Roger Kieschnick and Juan Perez to Triple-A Fresno. Pitcher Edwin Escobar was sent to Class A San Jose. The team also reassigned Brett Bochy, Boof Bonser, Steve Edlefsen, Heath Hembree, Michael Kickham, Mitch Lively, Shane Loux, Ricky Oropesa, Adam Duvall, Brock Bond and Gary Brown to its minor-league camp.
