Kilby demoted to Triple-A


(10/14/2010) The A's outrighted RP Brad Kilby to Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday. He appeared in five games for Oakland in 2010, posting a 2.16 ERA.

Kilby returns to Triple-A


(5/3/2010) A week and a half after being recalled, Oakland RP Brad Kilby was optioned back to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday. His demotion cleared a roster spot for RP Michael Wuertz, who was activated from the 15-day disabled list.

(4/23/2010) According to MLB.com, the A's recalled RP Brad Kilby and optioned Landon Powell to Triple-A Sacramento.

(3/1/2010) A's manager Bob Geren announced that RHP Trevor Cahill would start Thursday's spring opener against the Cubs in Mesa. He will be opposed by Randy Wells. Clayton Mortensen, Jerry Blevins, Brad Kilby and Lenny DiNardo are also scheduled to pitch.

Kilby's scoreless streak continues


(9/22/2009) From The Sports Xchange notes: LHP Brad Kilby extended his scoreless inning streak to begin his career to 11 innings over seven appearances with 2 2/3 shutout innings on Monday against Texas. Kilby has struck out 13 batters so far, and the September call-up is making a very strong case for a roster spot next spring.

Kilby yet to allow a run


(9/14/2009) From The Sports Xchange: LHP Brad Kilby has yet to allow a run since being called up Sept. 1. He struck out two in a scoreless inning at Minnesota on Sunday, and overall, the unheralded rookie has allowed two hits in 5 2/3 innings while striking out seven and walking one.
