Mets transition Holt to reliever
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com (7/5/2011) Mets SP prospect Bradley Holt continues his transition to a relief role after New York pulled him from the Binghamton rotation in late June. Holt went 2-6 with a 5.04 ERA in 13 starts, but he has since gone 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA and .227 opponents' batting average in 6 1/3 innings as a reliever. "It's going to take getting used to," Holt told MLB.com. "I've been a starter my whole life. It's going to take adjustments." Holt is trying not to look as the move to the bullpen as a demotion. "I'm excited about it," Holt said. "It's a chance for a new start."
