Pirates ship three to minors

by Bill Passonno | CBSSports.com
(3/22/2013) The Pirates continued trimming their roster Friday by optioning pitcher Bryan Morris to Triple-A Indianapolis. The team also reassigned infielders Ivan De Jesus and Jared Goedert to its minor-league camp.

Morris, ranked as the No. 14 overall prospect in the Pittsburgh organization by MLB.com, was considered a candidate for a spot in the bullpen but posted a 5.14 ERA over seven games during the spring.

Goedert has nine-RBI game at Triple-A

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(6/6/2012) Indians prospect Jared Goedert had a monster game for Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday. Goedert went 4 for 4 with one double, two homers, four runs and nine RBI, which was two RBI short of tying the team record for one game. "There was some light-hearted ribbing about that, " Goedert told MLB.com. "It would've been cool to tie. I wasn't aware [of the record] until afterward."
