Marlins outright Taylor to minors


(8/5/2009) The Florida Marlins outrighted pitcher Graham Taylor to the Double-A Jacksonville Suns and SS Andy Gonzalez to the Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs on Wednesday. They had been designated for assignment.

Taylor rocked back to Double-A


(5/7/2009) Marlins rookie SP Graham Taylor (0-2) earned himself a ticket to the minors, lasting only 2 1/3 innings in an 8-6 loss to the Braves on Wednesday. He allowed eight runs, four earned, and his ERA rose to 8.18. He was optioned to Double-A. Reliever Carlos Martinez will be recalled Thursday and Andrew Miller is expected to be ready to return from the DL the next time the Marlins need a No. 5 starter.

Bullpen blows win for Graham


(5/1/2009) Marlins starter Graham Taylor went five innings in Friday's afternoon game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. He allowed two earned runs, giving up five hits and three walks. He struck out a batter and was in line for the win until Ryan Theriot hit a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Cubs the lead.

(4/26/2009) The Florida Marlins said right-hander Logan Kensing has been designated for assignment Saturday night, shortly after the reliever suffered the loss in a 6-4 defeat against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Marlins also announced left-hander Graham Taylor will be promoted from Double-A Jacksonville (Southern League) on Sunday when he is scheduled to make his major league debut by starting the series finale against the Phillies.
