Nationals send six players to minors

(3/13/2014) The Nationals optioned outfielder Michael Taylor and starting pitcher Matt Purke to Double-A Harrisburg Thursday. The Nationals also reassigned pitcher Clay Hensley, pitcher Josh Roenicke, pitcher Daniel Stange and pitcher Danny Rosenbaum to minor-league camp.

(11/21/2013) The Nationals signed right-hander Daniel Stange to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training Thursday. Stange split last season between the Padres and Angels organizations. He made three appearances for the Angels, allowing three earned runs in 1 2/3 innings.

(9/22/2013) The Angels outrighted pitcher Daniel Stange to Triple-A Salt Lake Sunday, the Los Angeles Times reports. The move removes Stange from the team's 40-man roster.

Stange has made 52 appearances in Triple-A this season, with half coming in the Angels organization. He is 5-1 with a 4.52 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 73:37 K:BB ratio in 65 2/3 innings.

(8/6/2013) The Angels optioned relief pitcher Daniel Stange to Triple-A Salt Lake Tuesday. The reliever gave up three runs over 1 2/3 innings during his brief time with the club. The 27-year-old Stange should return in September, if not earlier, for the Angels.

(7/29/2013) The Angels have purchased the contract of pitcher Daniel Stange from Triple-A Salt Lake Monday. The 27-year-old Stange has a 3.60 ERA over 15 innings at Triple-A this season. He is expected to pitch in middle relief for the Angels.

(6/17/2013) Padres relief pitcher Daniel Stange has opted out of his contract with Triple-A Tuscon, MLB.com reports. He was 1-0 with a 4.15 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 43:24 K:BB ratio in 39 innings at Triple-A.

Stange's only major-league experience came in 2010, when he pitched four innings for the Diamondbacks.
