(4/14/2010) The Red Sox have claimed right-hander Santo Luis off waivers from the White Sox and optioned him to Double-A Portland. Luis went 5-4 with 14 saves in Class A last year. To make room on the 40-man roster, infielder Jed Lowrie was transferred from the 15- to the 60-day disabled list. He has been sidelined by mononucleosis.
