Pirates option pitcher Bryan Morris

(4/16/2013) The Pirates have optioned pitcher Bryan Morris to Triple-A Indianapolis Tuesday. 

The 26-year-old tossed three scoreless innings with the club to open the season. He hasn't allowed a hit this year, but has struggled with his control, walking three batters. Vin Mazzaro was called up as Morris' replacement.

(4/12/2013) The Pittsburgh Pirates recalled pitcher Bryan Morris from Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday to provide some depth in the bullpen. Morris pitched in two games with Indianapolis, racking up two saves over three perfect innings.

(3/22/2013) The Pirates continued trimming their roster Friday by optioning pitcher Bryan Morris to Triple-A Indianapolis. The team also reassigned infielders Ivan De Jesus and Jared Goedert to its minor-league camp.

Morris, ranked as the No. 14 overall prospect in the Pittsburgh organization by MLB.com, was considered a candidate for a spot in the bullpen but posted a 5.14 ERA over seven games during the spring.

(9/10/2012) The Pirates recalled another group of players from Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday and promoted shortstop Chase d'Arnaud and relief pitcher Bryan Morris. The two are expected to be available for Monday's game against the Reds.
