Jeff Bianchi set to rejoin Brewers Thursday

(5/2/2013) Brewers infielder Jeff Bianchi has been reinstated from the disabled list, and will join the team Thursday. 

Bianchi has not played in a game this season due to a hip injury. Khris Davis was sent down to make room for Bianchi.

(4/13/2013) Brewers infielder Jeff Bianchi, on the 15-day disabled list, began his rehab assignment with Double-A Huntsville on Saturday. He went 1 for 2 with an RBI while playing shortstop for a few innings.

Bianchi has been sidelined since spring training due to a hip injury.

(4/12/2013) Brewers shortstop Jeff Bianchi (hip) is slated to begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Huntsville Saturday, the team announced. Bianchi, who appeared in 33 games during his MLB debut last season, has not played in a game since spring training as a persistent hip injury kept him sidelined.

Taylor Green, Jeff Bianchi still dealing with injuries

(3/25/2013) Brewers infielders Taylor Green and Jeff Bianchi, who are both dealing with hip injuries, were able to play catch and complete workouts Monday, reports MLB.com. Manager Ron Roenicke said there remains no firm target date for their returns. 

Bianchi perhaps has the more troubling issue as he has played only one game since March 2 and is also dealing with a groin ailment. 

"It’s hard to figure," Roenicke said, "because he’s not coming along real fast. Wednesday, I would hope we have a lot better answer on this."

Bianchi and Green are both considered backup infield options.

(3/16/2013) Brewers shortstop Jeff Bianchi was forced to withdraw from the World Baseball Classic with a groin injury but was able play in Saturday's Cactus League game against the Reds. He went 1 for 2 in the 9-9 tie. Bianchi is 4 for 17 (.235) through eight spring games.

(3/5/2013) Brewers infielder Jeff Bianchi had to withdraw from Team Italy on Tuesday after he experienced tightness in his left groin, reports MLB.com. Bianchi, who was going to play shortstop for the Italians, was disappointed. "Absolutely," Bianchi said. "I was looking forward to it, but it's one of those things that happens. Right now, I'm just treating it and getting it better. I would rather be with these guys and getting my work done here. … You can't stress or dwell over it."
