Braves acquire Ozzie Martinez from Dodgers

(5/19/2014) The Braves acquired infielder Ozzie Martinez from the Dodgers in exchange for left-hander Adrian Rivero, according to the team's Triple-A website.

Martinez batted .176 (19 for 108) with two doubles, one triple, two home runs and 11 RBI at Double-A Chattanooga. He was assigned to Triple-A. Rivero was in the Gulf Coast league with the Braves last season, and posted a 3.38 ERA in 13 1/3 innings.


Dodgers pare down roster

(3/4/2013) The Dodgers made their first roster cuts of the spring Monday and moved the following players to their minor-league camp: first basemen Nick Evans and Dallas McPherson, pitcher Kelvin De La Cruz and shortstop Ozzie Martinez.
