(3/1/2014) Phillies pitcher Jeremy Horst has fully recovered from a sprained left elbow, and was able to make his first appearance of the spring Saturday against the Yankees.

Horst looked a bit rusty in his first action since last June, as he struggled to find the strike zone in his lone inning of work. He was tagged for two runs on two hits and two walks, without retiring a batter on strikes.

Horst struggled through the 2013 season, finishing with a 6.23 ERA in 26 innings before being shut down.

(8/20/2013) Phillies pitcher Jeremy Horst visited a doctor Tuesday and could begin a throwing program soon, MLB.com reports. 

Horst was transferred to the 60-day disabled list in late July and has been on the shelf since June 15 because of a sprained left elbow.

(7/19/2013) Phillies reliever Jeremy Horst will likely not throw another pitch this season after he suffered a setback recently in his rehabilitation process.

Horst was pitching in Triple-A Lehigh Valley when he came down with soreness in his elbow, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. He received a platelet-rich plasma injection in the elbow and will not throw for six weeks, at least.

Horst had a 6.23 ERA in 26 innings when he was placed on the disabled list with an elbow strain.

(7/7/2013) The Phillies announced after Sunday's game against the Braves reliever Jeremy Horst (elbow) will move his rehab assignment from Class A Clearwater to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Horst began a rehab assignment Saturday with Clearwater, throwing a scoreless inning.

(6/25/2013) Phillies reliever Jeremy Horst is set to begin a throwing program Wednesday, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.  Horst has been out for about a week due to a strained left elbow, and it is not clear how long the team expects him to need before he is ready to return.

(6/17/2013) The Phillies have placed relief pitcher Jeremy Horst on the 15-day disabled list with a left elbow strain.

Horst has struggled while going 0-2 with a 6.23 ERA, 1.81 WHIP and 21:12 K:BB ratio in 26 innings over 28 appearances. He surrendered eight earned runs in six innings over his last six appearances before heading to the disabled list.

(3/17/2013) The Phillies announced Sunday they optioned relievers Justin DeFratus and Jake Diekman to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The Phillies now have four relievers --  Phillippe Aumont, Michael Stutes, Raul Valdes, Jeremy Horst -- competing for the final three spots in the bullpen.
