Reds ink Brandon Short to minors deal

(7/31/2013) The Reds signed outfielder Brandon Short to a minor-league contract Wednesday and assigned him to Double-A Pensacola. Short was playing in the White Sox's system previously, hitting .204 in 59 games between Double-A and Triple-A.

(8/6/2012) The Chicago Tribune reports White Sox prospect Brandon Short, who has been sidelined since March due to a torn labrum in his left shoulder, has been activated off the minor-league DL and transferred to Class A Winston-Salem.
