(5/22/2013) Dodgers outfielder Scott Van Slyke doubled twice in Wednesday's win over Milwaukee.

Van Slyke finished 2 for 4 with two RBI, a run and a walk as well. With Andre Ethier apparently drawing the ire of Don Mattingly and possibly on the trade market, Van Slyke may be in line for more at-bats in both the near future and the long run

(5/22/2013) Dodgers outfielder Scott Van Slyke, who was not in the starting lineup due to a leg injury, made a pinch-hit appearance Tuesday night against Milwaukee.

Van Slyke struck out swinging for the final out of a 5-2 defeat. He is hitting 250 with three homers and four RBI.

(5/19/2013) Dodgers outfielder Scott Van Slyke was forced out of Sunday's contest against the Braves after fouling two pitches off his lower left leg in the seventh.

X-rays on his leg came back negative, according to MLB.com. Van Slyke finished 0 for 3 in a 5-2 defeat. He has gone 4 for 14 with three home runs and four RBI in his last five games played before getting hurt.

(5/18/2013) Dodgers outfielder Scott Van Slyke enjoyed a huge night at the plate as he homered twice during Friday's game against the Braves.

Van Slyke launched a solo home run in the sixth inning off starter Paul Maholm. He then took Eric O'Flaherty deep in the ninth for another solo home run. He finished 2 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBI in an 8-5 defeat.

Van Slyke has homered twice in his last four games. He has gone 4 for 11 with two homers and four RBI during that span.

(5/13/2013) After feeling ostracized during the offseason when he was shed from the 40-man roster, Dodgers outfielder Scott Van Slyke is trying to earn the team's attention once again. He made a splash in his first start Sunday against Miami, finishing 2 for 4 with a solo homer as he patrolled first base in Adrian Gonzalez's absence.

"I think I just wanted to prove to the Dodgers that I still had some value and I could help them win," Van Slyke, the organization's 2011 Minor League Player of the Year, told the Los Angeles Times. “I’m just trying to play the same baseball I have been for the past month."

(5/13/2013) Dodgers outfielder Scott Van Slyke turned in a productive day at the plate Sunday against the Marlins. Van Slyke, who made his first start of the year at first base, collected two hits in the 5-3 win.

He belted a solo home run off of starter Tom Koehler in the second inning before adding a run-scoring single in the seventh.

(5/10/2013) The Dodgers have recalled outfielder Scott Van Slyke from Triple-A Albuquerque prior to Friday's contest against the Marlins.

Van Slyke is hitting .397 with nine homers and 30 RBI in 116 at-bats in the minors. He hit .353 (6 for 17) with five runs scored, one home run and three RBI in his last six games at Triple-A.
