Twins' Lester Oliveros on minor league DL after MRI

(7/11/2015) Twins pitcher Lester Oliveros was placed on the disabled list at Triple-A Rochester due to shoulder soreness, per the Star Tribune

Oliveros had an MRI on the shoulder. The team is waiting for the results. 

Oliveros is 3-2 with a 3.79 ERA in 24 games with Rochester this year.

Oliveros, a member of Triple-A Rochester, beaned Yankees prospect Austin Romine on Friday.

(3/16/2015) Twins have optioned left-hander Jason Wheeler and right-hander Lester Oliveros to Triple-A Rochester. Third baseman Miguel Sano was optioned down to Double-A Chattanooga on Monday, according to the team's official website. Minnesota has 45 players left in big-league camp.

(1/13/2015) Twins reliever Lester Oliveros recently took a break from the Venezuelan winter league to fly back to Minnesota to have his shoulder evaluated, according to the Star Tribune. The Twins found a very minor injury and are confident Oliveros will be ready for spring training.

Oliveros made just seven relief appearances for Minnesota in 2014, going 0-1 with a 7.11 ERA. He has a 5.22 ERA over 27 career appearances.

(11:07 am ET) The Twins announced their September callups on Monday. The following players will be promoted from the minors: Aaron Hicks, Josmil Pinto, Chris Herrmann, Doug Bernier, Lester Oliveros, Logan Darnell, Michael Tonkin and A.J. Achter.

(3/9/2014) The Twins made a slew of roster moves Sunday. The team announced pitchers Logan Darnell, Edgar IbarraBrooks Raley and Trevor May were optioned to Triple-A Rochester. 

The Twins also announced first baseman Kennys Vargas was optioned to Double-A New Britain, while infielder Jorge Polanco  and outfielder Max Kepler  were optioned to Class A Ft. Myers.

The Twins also reassigned pitchers Alex Meyer, Lester Oliveros and Yohan Pino, catchers Kyle KnudsonMatt Koch  and Stuart Turner, outfielders Byron Buxton  and Chris Rahl  and infielder Miguel Sano to minor-league camp.

(11/4/2013) The Twins have signed pitcher Lester Oliveros and outfielder Wilkin Ramirez to minor league contracts Monday. 

Oliveros spent most of 2013 rehabbing from Tommy John surgery. Ramirez batted .272 over 35 games with the Twins before hurting his left tibia in August.
