Miller will return to the minors with Ryan Hanigan coming off the disabled list. Miller went 2 for 16 with four walks and two runs scored as the backup catcher.

by Ed Gauna | CBSSports.com (4/23/2013) Reds catcher Corky Miller made his first major-league start since 2010 Tuesday night against the Cubs. Miller, who was called up from Triple-A Sunday, was the battery mate for Tony Cingrani.
"[Miller] is catching Cingrani tonight because he knows Cingrani," manager Dusty Baker told MLB.com. "(Devin) Mesoraco had to call him to ask advice about how to catch Cingrani. Now we have the advice-giver in house."

Miller, 37, has spent the bulk of the last five seasons at Triple-A Louisville in Cincinnati's system. Last season, he hit .235/.386/.354 with seven home runs in 313 at-bats. He replaces the injured Ryan Hanigan on the Reds roster.

by Bill Passonno | CBSSports.com (3/31/2013) The Reds made several moves to finalize their roster for the regular season, reassigning second baseman Emmanuel Burriss, catcher Corky Miller and outfielders Denis Phipps and Derrick Robinson to their minor-league camp. Cincinnati also outrighted pitcher Jose Arredondo to Triple-A Louisville while optioning pitcher Logan Ondrusek to Double-A Pensacola.
Third baseman Jason Donald also was designated for assignment and the Reds purchased the contract of shortstop Cesar Izturis to take his place on the 40-man roster.
