(7/31/2010) A's RP Cedrick Bowers was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday as the team recalled SP Boof Bonser, who signed a minor league deal with the team earlier this month. Bowers was 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA in 14 appearances for Oakland this season.

(7/20/2010) The Oakland Athletics have activated left-hander Dallas Braden from the 15-day disabled list and optioned lefty Cedrick Bowers to Triple-A Sacramento. Braden was activated in time to start against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night.

(5/16/2010) Oakland recalled RP Cedrick Bowers on Sunday. Bowers was recalled after Justin Duchscherer went on the 15-day DL and Josh Donaldson was optioned back to Triple-A. Bowers, a 32-year-old lefty, was 1-1 with a 2.55 ERA in 16 appearances for Triple-A Sacramento. He struck out 26 in 17 2/3 innings and held poopnents to a .161 batting average. "Cedrick was throwing the ball pretty well down there," A's manager Bob Geren told MLB.com. "We just decided to make a change in that direction for our bullpen."
A's send 10 to minor-league camp
(3/14/2010) Former major league infielder Dallas McPherson was among the 10 players the Oakland Athletics reassigned to their minor league camp on Sunday. The team also reassigned right-handed pitchers Sam Demel and Matt Wright, left-handed pitcher Cedrick Bowers, catchers Joel Galarraga and Max Stassi, and infielders Grant Green, Jemile Weeks, Matt Whitney and Corey Wimberly. The Athletics have 53 players remaining in camp with the 40-man roster and 13 non-roster invitees. The breakdown includes 27 pitchers, four catchers, 12 infielders and 10 outfielders.
(1/15/2009) Non-roster invitees to Rockies camp include right-hander Matt Belisle, lefty Cedrick Bowers, infielders Luis A. Gonzalez and Jon Herrera, outfielder Daniel Ortmeier and catchers Edwin Bellorin and Paul Phillips. Gonzalez, who hasn't played in the majors in three years, was a member of the Rockies from 2004-06. He played the past two seasons with the Yomiuri Giants in Japan.
