(6/16/2013) The Rays recalled reliever Josh Lueke from Triple-A Durham Sunday, the Tampa Bay Times reports. Lueke was 0-2 earlier in the year for the Rays over nine appearances with a 3.72 ERA. He will help out in the bullpen.

(5/11/2013) Despite making his first appearance only a few hours after being promoted from Triple-A Durham, Rays pitcher Josh Lueke displayed renewed confidence in his approach Friday against San Diego. Lueke retired all four batters he faced on just 14 pitches and finished with a pair of strikeouts.

"That was outstanding," Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon told MLB.com on Saturday. "This guy, he could be a force. There's no question he could be a force. That was nice to see. ... He's just walking around here differently. Really pro. He's turning into a professional."

(5/10/2013) The Rays promoted Josh Lueke from Triple-A Durham Friday to replace Brandon Gomes after he was placed on the disabled list. Lueke, who will be making his first appearance with Tampa Bay this season, has a 0.95 ERA over 19 innings with Durham.
