Nationals recall pitcher Yunesky Maya

(5/21/2013) The Nationals recalled pitcher Yunesky Maya from Triple-A Syracuse Tuesday. Maya, who is expected to pitch in relief, was 1-4 with a 5.07 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in eight starts for Syracuse.

(3/18/2013) The Washington Nationals made another wave of roster cuts Monday and optioned the following players to Triple-A Syracuse: pitchers Ryan Perry, Erik Davis and Yunesky Maya, first baseman Chris Marrero, catcher Jhonatan Solano and outfielder Corey Brown. In addition, the Nationals also reassigned pitcher Ross Ohlendorf and shortstop Zach Walters to their minor-league camp.
