(4/22/2014) The Yankees announced Tuesday they outrighted pitcher Cesar Cabral to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Cabral was designated for assignment Friday.

(4/18/2014) The Yankees designated reliever Cesar Cabral for assignment following Friday's nightmare outing against the Rays. Cabral allowed three runs on three hits without recording an out. He was then ejected by home plate umpire Joe West for plunking three batters.

(4/8/2014) The Yankees have called up reliever Cesar Cabral from Triple-A.

Cabral will take the spot of David Robertson, who was placed on the disabled list. Cabral did not give up a run in 9 1/3 innings with the club this spring.

(3/29/2014) The Yankees have sent pitchers Shane Greene and Cesar Cabral to Triple-A.

Both players were in competition for a spot in the bullpen, but lost out on that opportunity. Cabral acquitted himself well during camp, and could be a part of the major-league club at the first sign of injury.

Cesar Cabral outrighted to Double-A

(6/14/2013) Yankees pitcher Cesar Cabral has been outrighted to Double-A Trenton, the New York Daily News reports. A Rule 5 pick by the Yankees, Cabral will go through waivers.

Cabral allowed nine earned runs on 15 hits and 10 walks while striking out 10 batters in 12 innings during his rehab assigment.

(5/23/2013) Yankees reliever Cesar Cabral (elbow) is about a week into his rehab assignment with Class A Tampa. Cabral has allowed one run on four hits and six walks, while striking out two in 3 2/3 innings.

He must be activated by June 15 or put on waivers, according to ESPN.

Yankees claim Dan Otero off waivers

(3/26/2013) The Yankees claimed pitcher Dan Otero off waivers from the San Francisco Giants Tuesday. The team moved Cesar Cabral to the 60-day disabled list with an elbow injury. Cabral is coming back from Tommy John surgery. 

The 28-year-old Otero has allowed seven earned runs over seven innings with the Giants this spring. He appeared in 12 games with San Francisco last year and had a 5.84 ERA.

(2/15/2013) Yankees relief pitcher Cesar Cabral is not expected to pitch in games until at least May as he continues to work back from a lingering elbow injury, The Star-Ledger reports. Cabral missed all of last season after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in his left elbow. "It won't be this spring, but he's progressing well," manager Joe Girardi said. "He's a guy that we like the upside in him, we like his arm, but he won't quite be ready."
