Cardinals outright two to Triple-A Memphis

(9/10/2014) The Cardinals sent catcher Audry Perez and outfielder Rafael Ortega outright to Triple-A Memphis Wednesday. Both players were designated for assignment Monday.

Cardinals make several moves

(9/8/2014) The Cardinals added outfielder Thomas Pham, second baseman Greg Garcia and reliever Samuel Tuivailala to their major-league roster Monday, designating outfielder Rafael Ortega and catcher Audry Perez for assignment.

Garcia is the only one of the three callups with any major-league experience, having gone 2 for 12 in earlier stints with the Cardinals this season, but Pham has intriguing numbers, having hit .324 with 10 homers, 20 steals and an .886 OPS in 390 at-bats at Triple-A Memphis. Tuivailala, a converted infielder, has a 3.15 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 14.6 strikeouts per nine innings in 48 appearances between three minor-league stops.


Cardinals option Audry Perez to Triple-A

(7/12/2014) The Cardinals optioned catcher Audry Perez to Triple-A Memphis Saturday.

Perez drew a walk in his only plate appearance with the team. He heads back to Triple-A after the Cardinals claimed catcher George Kottaras off waivers Friday.


Audry Perez called up, to back up Tony Cruz following Yadier Molina injury

(7/10/2014) The Cardinals recalled catcher Audry Perez from Triple-A Memphis Thursday, following Yadier Molina's placement on the disabled list with a thumb injury.

Perez will likely serve as the primary backup to Tony Cruz, according to the Belleville News-Democrat. Molina could be out for the rest of the regular season following a torn ligament in his thumb.

(3/13/2014) The Cardinals optioned pitcher Eric Fornataro and Audry Perez down to Triple-A Memphis on Thursday, the team announced.

Fornataro allowed four runs and seven hits over five innings pitched this spring. Perez had only one hit over seven at-bats.

Wong, a first-round pick in 2011, batted .250 (7 for 28) with a homer and three RBI in 19 Cactus League games.
