(3/22/2015) The Athletics made another set of roster moves Sunday, re-assigning the following players to their minor league camp: Matt Olson, Joe Wendle, Brad Mills, Ryan Verdugo, Fernando Rodriguez, Kevin Whelan and Carson Blair, according to MLB.com.

Verdugo last pitched at the major league level in 2012, producing a 32.40 ERA in one start.

Verdugo has spent the entire season in Triple-A. He's posted a 4.24 ERA over 46 2/3 innings. Kansas City will receive cash considerations from Boston.
