Giants promote Josh Osich, demote Mike Broadway in RP swap

(7/3/2015) A week after promoting right-handed reliever Mike Broadway from Triple-A Sacramento, the Giants have demoted him and brought up southpaw Josh Osich from the same team, per the San Francisco Chronicle.

Broadway struggled after a decent start with San Francisco. He allowed three runs on five hits in his last 5 1/3 innings.

Osich, who pitched just twice for Sacramento after his promotion from Double-A, has been tearing it up. He has 19 saves in 20 chances and has surrendered just one run in his last 13 innings.


Giants place Jeremy Affeldt on DL, recall Mike Broadway

(6/26/2015) The Giants placed reliever Jeremy Affeldt on the 15-day disabled list Friday due to a left shoulder strain. To take his roster spot, reliever Mike Broadway was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento.

Giants reinstate RP Jean Machi, demote RP Michael Broadway

(6/23/2015) The Giants have reinstated righty reliever Jean Machi from the disabled list after he completed his rehab from a groin injury that prevented him from pitching since June 1.

Machi pitched in four games for Triple-A Sacramento before his recall and hurled five shutout innings with six strikeouts.

To open up a spot on the roster, the team sent pitcher Michael Broadway back to the River Cats. He performed well in his short time with San Francisco, allowing one run in 4 2/3 innings.


Blue Jays sign Michael Broadway, Jonathan Diaz

(11/11/2013) Sportsnet.ca reports that the Blue Jays signed reliever Michael Broadway and infielder Jonathan Diaz to minor league contracts Monday.

Broadway pitched most recently for Triple-A Syracuse in the Nationals' system, going 1-1 with a 2.28 ERA and six saves. Diaz appeared in five games with the Red Sox, and he hit .253 with two home runs and 31 RBI with Triple-A Pawtucket.
