Red Sox minor leaguer Juan Carlos Linares hurt

(3/26/2013) Boston minor leaguer Juan Carlos Linares left Tuesday's minor-league game after chasing a fly ball in left-center field, reports MassLive.com. 

There has been no word as to the extent of the injury. The 28-year-old Cuban defector was batting .345 for the Red Sox with two homers and six RBI before being reassigned this spring. He will begin the year in the minors, when healthy.

(3/12/2013) The Boston Red Sox continued shaping their roster and announced the following moves Tuesday: pitcher Steven Wright and outfielder Alex Hassan were optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket while first baseman Mark Hamilton and outfielders Jeremy Hazelbaker and Juan Carlos Linares were reassigned to the team's minor-league camp.
