(3/18/2014) The Brewers announced Tuesday they outrighted first baseman Sean Halton to Triple-A Nashville. Halton hit .261 (6 for 23) with one double, three RBI, six strikeouts and seven walks in 14 spring games.

(3/14/2014) The Brewers optioned first baseman Sean Halton and pitchers Mike Fiers and Hiram Burgos to Triple-A Nashville after Friday's 9-8 win over the Diamondbacks.

The team also re-assigned catcher Matt Pagnozzi, infielder Eugenio Velez, outfielder Kevin Mattison and pitcher Dustin Molleken to minor-league camp.


Sean Halton delivers walk-off homer

(9/15/2013) Brewers infielder Sean Halton played the hero Sunday, hitting a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give his team a 6-5 win over the Reds. It was Halton's only hit in three at-bats, though he did add a second RBI on a fielder's choice.

Two of Halton's three home runs have come in his last four games, and he's 5 for 13 with five RBI over that stretch. He has hit .264/.329/.417 in 72 at-bats.

Halton went 2 for 4, with a single and a home run. He finished the game with one run scored and three RBI. He's hitting .254/.319/.381 in 63 at-bats. 


Brewers to add three players to roster Tuesday

(9/2/2013) The Brewers announed Monday they will recall pitcher Johnny Hellweg and outfielder Sean Halton, and purchase the contract of James Nelson from Triple-A Nashville Tuesday. Nelson is considered the Brewers' top prospect by MLB.com.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said Hellweg will join the rotation, Nelson will pitch out of the bullpen and Halton will start at first base when a left-handed pitcher is on the hill, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

(8/21/2013) The Brewers optioned outfielder Sean Halton to Triple-A Nashville after Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Cardinals. Halton went 1 for 4 in the game, giving him a .218/.271/.309 line with one home run and six RBI in 55 at-bats.

Halton returns to a .288/.347/.494 line with 11 home runs and 47 RBI in 312 at-bats with Nashville.

He has hit .200/.217/.311 with one home run and two RBI in 45 at-bats with the Brewers, and .288/.338/.492 with nine home runs and 35 RBI in 240 at-bats with Nashville.
