White Sox rookie 3B Tyler Saladino slams three singles Saturday

(7/25/2015) One might have figured that White Sox third baseman Tyler Saladino was cooling off after a hot start to his major league career. After all, he had just one hit in his last 13 at-bats heading into the game Saturday in Cleveland.

One might have figured wrong. Saladino enjoyed the second three-hit performance of his budding career. And he also managed his first three-run game, scoring after each of his singles.

Saladino raised his average back over .300 with the effort after it had fallen to .273.

(7/22/2015) White Sox infielder Tyler Saladino went deep for the second straight game on Tuesday, giving him two home runs in his career.

Saladino launched a two-run shot in the fifth inning, but that would be the end of the scoring for Chicago, as they would drop this one 8-5 to the Cardinals.

The young infielder went 3 for 5 with two RBI and two runs scored in the game. He has a .355 batting average through the first eight games of his career.

(7/19/2015) White Sox third baseman Tyler Saladino hit his first career home run in Sunday's loss to Kansas City. 

Saladino went 1 for 3, hitting in his sixth straight game. He's hitting .348 over the streak.

(7/10/2015) The White Sox have promoted infielder Tyler Saladino from Triple-A Charlotte. He is in batting second and playing third base Friday against the host Cubs.

Saladino has been on a roll with the Knights. He has 10 hits in his last 27 at-bats with two home runs in his last two games, including a grand slam Tuesday. His average has risen 18 points to .255 since July 1.


White Sox trim down roster on Wednesday

(3/18/2015) The White Sox made another round of roster cuts on Wednesday, optioning Matt Davidson, Adrian Nieto, Tyler Saladino, Kevan Smith and Trayce Thompson to Triple-A Charlotte. Raul Fernandez and Michael Ynoa were optioned to Double-A Birmingham, per the team's official website.

Chicago also reassigned Dan Black, Andy LaRoche, J.D. Martin, Jared Mitchell, Tim Anderson and Tyler Danish to minor-league camp.

Chicago claimed pitcher Onelki Garcia off waivers from the Dodgers and designated pitcher Ronald Belisario for assignment to clear a roster spot.
