(5/25/2015) Braves outfielder Joey Terdoslavich went 2 for 4 with one RBI and a double during a rehab assignment game for the team's Class A affiliate Monday.

Terdoslavich is on the disabled list with a wrist injury. He has not played for the Braves this season.

(5/25/2015) Braves outfielder Joey Terdoslavich will begin a rehab assignment with Class A Rome on Monday, the team announced.

Terdoslavich has been on the disabled list all season while recovering from a wrist injury. He hit .256/.337/.385 with 15 home runs and 61 RBI in 507 at-bats with Triple-A Gwinnett last season.

(4/5/2015) The Braves placed outfielder Joey Terdoslavich (wrist) on the 15-day disabled list and pitchers Daniel Winkler (elbow) and Shae Simmons (elbow) on the 60-day disabled list.

Terdoslavich is dealing with a sprained wrist. Winkler is working his way back from last June's Tommy John surgery. Simmons will miss the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.

(3/31/2015) Kelly Johnson will make the Braves Opening Day roster, according to a report by Yahoo's Jeff Passan.

Johnson's versatility helped earn him the spot--he can play three infield positions as well as the outfield. The decision to keep Johnson could be a bad sign for Joey Terdoslavich, who was believed to be competing with him for a bench role. 


Joey Terdoslavich hopes to return to Braves lineup Wednesday

(3/31/2015) Joey Terdoslavich took batting practice on Tuesday and hopes to return to the field Wednesday, after missing 10 days with a wrist injury. 

Terdoslavich sprained his left wrist while diving to make a tag on March 21. 

"It’s just weird the way it happened, just kind of a freak thing," Terdoslavich said, per the Atlanta Journal Constitution. "But a wrist and hand with a hitter is just like a pitcher with a (sore) elbow or shoulder. You don’t want to have it linger all year."

Terdoslavich is hitting .278 this spring. He's competing with Kelly Johnson for a bench spot on the Braves' roster.

(3/30/2015) Braves outfielder Joey Terdoslavich received a cortisone injection over the weekend to help relieve inflammation in his wrist, which he injured while diving for a baseball in a March 21 game against the Cardinals, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“Hopefully tomorrow,” Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said Monday of a possible return date for Terdsoslavich, who was competing with Kelly Johnson and others for a spot on the team's bench/

(3/26/2015) Braves outfielder Joey Terdoslavich (wrist) made the trip for Thursday's spring game against the Pirates and is available to play, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Terdoslavich missed a few days after hurting his wrist Saturday.

Terdoslavich is batting .278 (10 for 36) with one home run, six doubles, seven RBI, eight runs and 12 strikeouts in 18 spring games.

(3/24/2015) Braves outfielder Joey Terdoslavich has a sore left wrist due to his fall when making an unassisted double play Saturday against the Cardinals, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. However, he is expected to be back in the spring lineup Thursday against the Pirates.

(3/15/2015) Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said Sunday that Joey Terdoslavich is capable enough in the outfield to warrant a roster spot, MLB.com reports.

Terdoslavich played mainly in the infield in his first few minor-league seasons before starting to see work in the outfield in 2013. He smacked his first home run of the spring Sunday and is now hitting .320/.370/.600 in 25 at-bats.

(2/24/2014) Braves outfielder/first baseman Joey Terdoslavich has been getting some work at catcher this spring, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Terdoslavich didn't do much in his Braves debut last season, hitting .215/.315/.266 in 79 at-bats, but he enjoyed a banner season at Triple-A Gwinnett, hitting .318/.359/.567 with 18 home runs and 58 RBI in 321 at-bats. He doesn't have any game experience at catcher in either the minor or major leagues.

Terdoslavich, 24, owns a .318/.359/.567 line with 18 home runs in 85 games for Gwinnett. It's unclear what his role will be right now -- most likely, he'll give the Braves a power bat off the bench.

(5/12/2013) Braves outfield prospect Joey Terdoslavich continues to tear up pitching in the International League. After hitting .318 in 27 games for Triple-A Gwinnett in April, Terdoslavich is batting .395 (15 for 38) with three home runs and eight RBI through 10 May games.

Terdoslavich's slash line through 37 games is .338/.353/.593/.946. He has one triple, seven home runs, 14 doubles, 18 runs and 24 RBI. It's been a nice rebound for Terdoslavich, who hit .180 in 53 games for Gwinnett last season before a demotion to Double-A Mississippi.

Terdoslavich entered the season as the Braves' 15th-best prospect, according to MLB.com.

In fact, reports the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Terdoslavich has gone 8 for 9 in his last four spring contests. Terdoslavich, who is being looked at in the outfield this spring after flaming out as a corner infielder, is 11 for 17 (.647) on the spring season overall.

(2/4/2013) MLB.com reports the Braves are moving prospect Joey Terdoslavich to the outfield after a move from first base to third base in the minors didn't pan out. "We're going to to go ahead and let him play some outfield," Braves assistant general manager and director of player development Bruce Manno said. "It's one of those things where the more positions he can play, the better increase to his value. Being a switch-hitter, he's a great National League player with what he can do. Our goal for him right now is he'll be playing on the (Triple-A) Gwinnett club and he'll be playing somewhere, maybe some outfield, maybe first base."
