Diamondbacks option Charles Brewer to Triple-A

(7/9/2013) The Diamondbacks optioned relief pitcher Charles Brewer to Triple-A Tuesday to clear a 25-man roster spot for outfielder Adam Eaton, who was activated from the disabled list in a corresponding move.

Brewer was recalled Friday, making two appearances with the Diamondbacks before being sent back down. He has a 3.00 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 5:2 K:BB ratio in six innings with Arizona.

(7/5/2013) The Diamondbacks recalled pitcher Charles Brewer Friday. He has made two appearances for the Diamondbacks, throwing 3 2/3 scoreless innings while striking out four and walking one.

Brewer is 3-7 with a 5.38 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 69:24 K:BB ratio in 83 2/3 innings with Triple-A Reno.

(6/19/2013) Diamondbacks reliever Charles Brewer was optioned to Triple-A Reno Tuesday to make room for Randall Delgado's recalled, but that does not mean he has let it get to him.

"He's very confident, you guys know that," manager Kirk Gibson told MLB.com. "He's not pouting about it, he just knows it's part of his journey to be up here and have a huge impact on our success. He's got a great attitude about it."  

Brewer tossed 3 2/3 scoreless innings in two appearances out of the bullpen for the Diamondbacks before being sent back down.


Diamondbacks add two pitchers

(6/10/2013) The Diamondbacks recalled relievers Joe Paterson and Charles Brewer from Triple-A Reno Monday to bolster the bullpen. Tyler Skaggs was optioned to Reno and Matt Reynolds was placed on the 15-day disabled list to make room on the active roster.

Paterson has a 2.36 ERA in 26 2/3 innings at Reno, while Brewer has a 5.85 mark in 12 starts.

(6/10/2013) Diamondbacks pitcher Charles Brewer is being called up by the team, according to azcentral.com.

Brewer has started 12 games in Triple-A this season. In those starts, he has a 5.85 ERA Brewer has been in the Diamondbacks system since 2009, but has never appeared at the major-league level. There's no indication whether Brewer will be a starter or a reliever with the Diamondbacks.
