Red Sox cut two from spring camp

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(3/16/2013) The Red Sox optioned pitcher Alex Wilson and catcher Daniel Butler to Triple-A Pawtucket on Saturday.

Wilson, who was a second-round draft pick in 2009, was moved to the bullpen last year at Triple-A. He is not considered a top prospect for the organization.

Butler has never seen time in the majors but could if something happens to a Boston backstop this season. He hit .247 between Double-A Portland and Triple-A Pawtucket last year.
