Mets make several roster moves Monday

(3/10/2014) The Mets made several roster moves Monday, which included optioning Erik Goeddel, Steven Matz, Josh Edgin and Wilfredo Tovar to the minors. Logan Verrett, Adam Kolarek, Chasen Bradford, Dustin Lawley, Brandon Nimmo, Cory Vaughn, Danny Muno and Kevin Plawecki were also reassigned to minor-league camp.

Vaughn trying to hit like his dad

(7/6/2011) Mets OF prospect Cory Vaughn hasn't had much trouble transitioning from low Class A Savannah to high Class A St. Lucie. Vaughn is batting .333 (10 for 30) with two doubles, two homers and five RBI in 10 games for St. Lucie. This coming after he hit .286 with a .405 on-base percentage and .814 OPS in 68 games for Savannah.
