by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(7/18/2015) After being activated from the disabled list Friday, Diamondbacks outfielder Ender Inciarte was back in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants, the team announced.

It will be his first start since mid-June after sustaining a hamstring injury. He will bat first and play right field.

Diamondbacks activate OF Ender Inciarte from DL on Friday

by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(7/17/2015) Diamondbacks outfielder Ender Inciarte has been activated from the 15-day disabled list, the team announced on Friday. Inciarte had missed a month of action with a hamstring strain, which was initially suffered in a game on June 15.

Inciarte is batting .286 on the season, and has 12 hits in his last 39 at-bats, but just one RBI in that span.

He is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Giants.

D-Backs' Hale on outfield situation: 'They all deserve to play'

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(7/17/2015) With Ender Inciarte slated to return from the disabled list, Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale is once again faced with a playing time conundrum in the outfield.

However, filling out the lineup card has gotten a little harder for Hale, as David Peralta is proving he is no longer a liability against left-handed pitchers and has earned a spot in the starting lineup.

“Right/left could determine some things, but David has proven, in his time now with Ender got, that he handles lefties pretty well,” Hale said, per The Arizona Republic. “If there’s a matchup that has great history, then that guy will definitely be in the lineup. But if there’s not much history, we’ll just go with the hot hand or who needs a rest the most.”

Hale mentioned he wants to be careful with right fielder Yasmany Tomas since the regular season in Cuba isn't as long as the MLB season, and he doesn't want the rookie to wear down.

Inciarte's return likely means more days off for center fielder A.J. Pollock, who started 23 of 24 games with Inciarte on the disabled list.

“They all deserve to play ,” Hale said. “I’m sure every day someone will be disappointed they’re not in there, but in the end they’ll all be better for it. They’ll all get rest.”

(7/17/2015) The Diamondbacks will activate outfielder Ender Inciarte from the 15-day disabled list on Friday, according to MLB.com.

Inciarte played in five games with Double-A Mobile as a part of a rehab assignment over the All-Star break. He spent two games in the Arizona Rookie League before that as he made his way back from a strained right hamstring.

"I was doing everything 100 percent and I feel comfortable," Inciarte said on Thursday, per MLB.com. "I feel confident, my legs feel even better than before I got injured and I just can't wait to be back."

"I think it's probably going to be in the 18-20 days [range] after the injury," Hale said.

Inciarte is on the disabled list with a right hamstring strain. He last played June 15.
