Giants send OF Jarrett Parker to Triple-A on Friday

(6/19/2015) Giants outfielder Jarrett Parker has been optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday. Parker was recalled on June 10 when Gregor Blanco went on the 7-day disabled list. But Blanco was activated on Friday, which sends Parker back to the minor leagues.

Parker had one hit in nine at-bats through his first four games of Major League ball. He struck out five times and did not draw a walk.


Giants rookie RF Jarrett Parker to make first start

(6/13/2015) Giants rookie right fielder Jarrett Parker will make his first major league start on Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

The Giants promoted Parker from Triple-A earlier this week. Parker will take the eighth spot in the lineup.

In 54 games at the Triple-A level, parker hit .268/.382/.514 with 12 home runs and 36 RBI.

(6/10/2015) The Giants have recalled outfielder Jarrett Parker from Triple-A Sacramento, the team announced on Wednesday. Parker is getting his first taste of the Major Leagues, after being the Giants' second-round pick in the 2010 draft. 

This year in 54 games with Triple-A, Parker owns a .268/.382/.514 batting line with 12 home runs and 36 RBI.

Parker will take the roster spot of Gregor Blanco, who was placed on the 7-day disabled list on Wednesday. The Giants are short on outfielders with Blanco out and Hunter Pence dealing with a wrist injury.

Giants add Matthew Duffy, Jarrett Parker to active roster

(8/1/2014)  The Giants called up infielder Matthew Duffy and outfielder Jarrett Parker from Double-A Richmond Friday, following the releases of Dan Uggla and Tyler Colvin. Both players will be making their major-league debut when they get on the field for the first time.

Parker is hitting .275/.368/.463 in 99 games with Richmond, while Duffy was hitting .332/.398/.444 in 97 games.
