by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(11/27/2013) The Mets have interest in pitchers Armando Galarraga and Victor Garate , who have offers from Asian ballclubs, ESPN New York reports.

Galarraga made 23 Triple-A starts between two organizations last season, going 6-8 with a 3.64 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 83:46 K:BB ratio in 121 innings with Louisville and Colorado Springs. Garate made 19 appearances (18 starts) in the Mexican League, going 9-4 with a 3.78 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 112:40 K:BB ratio in 100 innings.

RP prospect Garate injured

(7/7/2011) The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Marlins Triple-A RP prospect Victor Garate, who is a Pacific Coast League All-Star, left Monday's start after just 14 pitches with an apparent arm injury. He is not on the minor league disabled list, but the team is holding him out for now. “We’re going to see how he responds to some treatment,’’ manager Greg Norton said.
