Mariners add Yoervis Medina to bullpen

(4/16/2013) The Mariners recalled pitcher Yoervis Medina from Triple-A Tacoma Tuesday to take the roster spot of injured pitcher Stephen Pryor, who went on the DL Monday. 

Medina has made four appearances at Triple-A this season and is 0-1 with a 1.50 ERA with a run allowed over six innings with seven strikeouts. He will pitch in middle relief. 


Mariners make another round of cuts

(3/16/2013) Mariners made another round of roster cuts Friday. They optioned infielder Carlos Triunfel, lefty Bobby LaFromboise, righty Yoervis Medina and infielder Vinnie Catricala to Triple-A Tacoma. They also optioned outfielder Julio Morban and infielder Francisco Martinez to Double-A West Tennessee while righty Andrew Carraway was reassigned to minor-league camp.
