Rangers lose two highly drafted players

(4/20/2013) The Texas Rangers have suffered season-ending injuries to two top draft picks from the 2011 draft, MLB.com reports Saturday.

Pitcher Kevin Matthews and outfielder Zach Cone are lost for the season. Matthews needs surgery due to a bone spur in his left shoulder. Cone is out with a torn left Achilles tendon.

Matthews was the 33rd overall pick in the 2011 drafft and Cone was the 37th overall pick.
