Brewers outright pitcher Ariel Pena to Triple-A

(11/25/2014) The Brewers announced pitcher Ariel Pena has been outrighted to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

The move opens up a spot on the 40-man roster. Pena has yet to appear in a MLB game.


Ariel Pena sent to minor-league DL with forearm injury

(4/14/2014) Brewers pitching prospect Ariel Pena was placed on the minor-league disabled list after being hit by a line drive on his forearm, the Milwauke Journal Sentinel reports. Pena avoided a major injury, and he's expected to miss just one start while recovering.

Brewers send four to Nashville

(3/10/2014) The Brewers optioned infielders Hunter Morris and Jason Rogers as well as pitchers Jimmy Nelson and Ariel Pena to Triple-A Nashville Monday, the team announced.

Morris went 2 for 16 in nine games this spring, while Rogers went 4 of 18 with three walks in nine games. Nelson surrendered two earned runs in three innings while striking out four in two appearances. Pena allowed two unearned runs in three hitless innings while striking out two and walking five.

(3/8/2013) The Brewers shuffled their roster Friday and optioned starting pitchers Ariel Pena and Miguel De Los Santos to Double-A Huntsville. Pena, obtained in last year's deal with the Angels for Zack Greinke, is considered the team's ninth-best pitching prospect in the minors.
