Edwar Cabrera making progress

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(4/20/2013) Rockies pitcher Edwar Cabrera, on the 60-day disabled list with a shoulder injury, faced hitters for the first time Friday. Cabrera is expected to have another session Tuesday and could pitch in an extended spring training game, according to MLB.com.

Cabrera, who hoped to compete for a rotation spot but was placed on the DL early in spring training with a left shoulder impingement, could start a minor-league rehab assignment after an extended spring training appearance. He is eligible to be reinstated May 30.

Cabrera goes on DL

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2/14/2013) Rockies pitcher Edwar Cabrera was placed on the 60-day DL with a shoulder impingement Thursday, making room for new acquisition Reid Brignac on the roster. According to the Denver Post, Cabrerea had been dealing with an illness prior to camp and "was a couple weeks behind" the other pitchers before the injury came up.
