Cabrera, who hoped to compete for a rotation spot but was placed on the DL early in spring training with a left shoulder impingement, could start a minor-league rehab assignment after an extended spring training appearance. He is eligible to be reinstated May 30.

According to the Denver Post, Cabrerea had been dealing with an illness prior to camp and "was a couple weeks behind" the other pitchers before the injury came up.
