Andrew Susac slugs second home run Monday

(8/26/2014) Giants catcher Andrew Susac went 1 for 2 with a walk and a solo home run in his team's 3-2 loss to the Rockies Monday.

Susac put the Giants up 2-1 with his second-inning blast, but it was a lead they couldn't hold. He has hit .229/.289/.429 with two home runs and eight RBI in 35 at-bats.


Andrew Susac blasts first career home run Wednesday

(8/20/2014) Giants catcher Andrew Susac went 1 for 5 with a two-run home run in his team's 8-3 victory over the Cubs Wednesday.

Susac's third-inning home run was the first of his career, coming in his 11th career game. He has 10 home runs in 213 at-bats with Triple-A Fresno as well. Susac has hit .241/.290/.379 in 29 at-bats with the major-league club.


Andrew Susac gets the call Saturday

(7/26/2014) The Giants recalled catcher Andrew Susac from Triple-A Fresno Saturday, after Hector Sanchez was placed on the concussion DL.

Susac will make his major-league debut whenever he appears in his first game for the Giants. He was hitting .268/.379/.451 in 213 at-bats at Triple-A. 


Giants cut 11 from big-league camp Wednesday

(3/12/2014) The Giants made 11 cuts Wednesday, including optioning outfielder Gary Brown, infielder Adam Duvall and pitchers Jose De Paula and Michael Kickham to Triple-A Fresno.

The team also optioned pitchers Kendry Flores and Hunter Strickland to high Class A San Jose. Catcher Andrew Susac, infielder Chris Dominguez and pitchers Jason Berken, Mitch Lively and Mason Tobin were re-assigned to minor-league camp.
