Braves claim Danny Burawa from Yankees

(8/14/2015) The Braves claimed reliever Danny Burawa off waivers from the Yankees, the team announced on Friday. 

The Yankees designated Burawa for assignment on August 5. The Braves will assign him to Triple-A Gwinnett. 


Yankees re-sign Jones; DFA Burawa; option Cotham to Triple-A

(8/5/2015) The Yankees were busy with transactions Wednesday. 

They announced first baseman Garrett Jones was re-signed to a major-league deal after he was designated for assignment last week.

Reliever Danny Burawa was designated for assignment Wednesday as part of the transactions, while reliever Caleb Cotham was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.


Yankees option Bryan Mitchell, call up Danny Burawa

(6/21/2015) The Yankees recalled pitcher Danny Burawa from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the team announced on Sunday. 

Burawa was 1-1 with one save and a 1.75 ERA at Scranton.

To make room for Burawa, the team optioned Bryan Mitchell to Triple-A. 

Mitchell recorded a save in his only appearance with the Yankees. 


De Paula to Triple-A, Williams to Double-A among Yankees cuts

(3/20/2015) Yankees pitcher Jose De Paula was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, per MLB.com. De Paula made one relief appearance this spring before dealing with a shoulder injury.

Outfielder Tyler Austin and pitcher Danny Burawa were also optioned to Triple-A. Outfielder Mason Willams was optioned to Double-A, while pitcher Wilking Rodriguez was reassigned to minor-league camp.


Yankees add Williams, Austin, two more to 40-man roster

(11/20/2014) The Yankees announced Thursday they added outfielder Tyler Austin, pitcher Danny Burawa, pitcher Branden Pinder and outfielder Mason Williams to the 40-man roster. The Yankees also sold the rights of infielder Zelous Wheeler to the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of Japan’s Pacific League.

Williams was considered the Yankees' third-best prospect by Baseball America heading into the 2014 season.
