(8:15 pm ET) The Orioles acquired reliever Francisco Rodriguez from the Brewers for minor-league infielder Nick Delmonico, according to the MLB.com Tuesday. Rodriguez converted 10 saves with the Brewers and owns a 1.09 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP through 24 2/3 innings of relief.

Delmonico batted .244/.351/.471 with 13 home runs and 30 RBI in 60 games at Class A Frederick.

Nick Delmonico held out a day after beaning

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(7/18/2013) Orioles catcher Nick Delmonico is not in Class A Frederick's lineup after being hit in the head with a pitch Wednesday.

The move is considered precautionary. Delmonico does not have a concussion, so it doesn't look like he'll miss significant time. Delmonico is hitting .254/.361/.493 in 209 at-bats.

Delmonico joins O's top prospects

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(2/5/2013) Baltimore position prospect Nick Delmonico enters the 2013 season as the No. 5 overall prospect in the organization, reports MLB.com. Delmonico is the second-best hitting prospect behind Jonathan Schoop. He can play first or second base, but projects at first for the time being. The 20-year-old was the Orioles' sixth round draft pick in 2011 out of high school and spent last year, his first as a pro, at Class A Delmarva.
