Greg Garcia demoted to Triple-A

(5/14/2014) Cardinals infielder Greg Garcia was demoted to Triple-A Memphis Wednesday to clear a roster spot for second baseman Kolten Wong, who was recalled from Memphis.

Garcia hit .200 (2 for 10) with one double and one RBI in seven games for St. Louis.

(3/1/2014) Cardinals rookie second baseman Greg Garcia was forced out of the game Saturday against Miami with a left hamstring cramp, MLB.com has reported.

Garcia showed some potential at Triple-A Memphis last season, batting .271 with 50 runs, 23 doubles and 14 stolen bases.
