Brandon Jacobs headed back to Class A

(4/1/2013) Red Sox outfield prospect Brandon Jacobs is returning to high Class A Salem to begin the 2013 season, reports WEEI.com. However, Jacobs will have the chance to play his way to Double-A Portland early in the season.

Jacobs hit .252 in 2012 for Salem after batting .303 with a .505 slugging percentage in 2011 for low Class A Greenville. Jacobs is batting .270 with a .445 slugging percentage in 301 career games.
