Yankees call up Nick Goody, option Branden Pinder, DFA Gregorio Petit

(7/25/2015) The Yankees added RHP Nick Goody to the active roster, the team announced on Saturday. 

The pitching prospect has split the season between Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton, going 1-2 with a six saves and a 1.68 ERA. 

To make room on the active roster, the Yankees optioned RHP Branden Pinder to Triple-A. Pinder had a 2.92 ERA in 11 games with the Yankees.

To open a spot on the 40-man roster, the Yankees designated infielder Gregorio Petit for assignment. He was hitting .167 in 20 games with the Yankees. 


Yankees recall Branden Pinder; option Bryan Mitchell

(7/18/2015) The Yankees recalled pitcher Branden Pinder on Saturday, the team announced. Pinder produced a 2.53 ERA over 10 2/3 innings earlier this season.

To make room for Pinder, the team optioned pitcher Bryan Mitchell to Triple-A. Mitchell has a 2.89 ERA over 9 1/3 innings of work this season.


Yankees option RPs Branden Pinder, Diego Moreno to Triple-A

(6/24/2015) The Yankees optioned relievers Branden Pinder and Diego Moreno to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Wednesday's game against the Phillies. 

Moreno pitched in Wednesday's game, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk in one inning. He had one strikeout.

Pinder threw on Monday and Tuesday against Philadelphia, allowing one run on two hits in 1 1/3 innings. He struck out one.


Yankees promote RP Branden Pinder, demote RP Chris Martin

(6/19/2015) Struggling Chris Martin has been dispatched to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre by the Yankees, who have promoted fellow reliever Branden Pinder from the same team.

Martin has allowed seven runs on 12 hits in his last five innings pitched.

(5/24/2015) The Yankees optioned RHP Branden Pinder to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre, the team announced on Sunday. Pinder had a 2.16 ERA in six appearances. 

To replace him on the roster, the Yankees called up reliever Jacob Lindgren , who was 1-1 with three saves and a 1.23 ERA in Triple-A.

The Yankees also transferred shortstop Brendan Ryan to the 60-day disabled list. Ryan was on the 15-day DL, with a calf injury.

(5/9/2015) The Yankees placed pitcher Chris Martin on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with right elbow tendinitis and recalled pitcher Branden Pinder.

Martin has posted a 3.55 ERA and 13:3 K:BB ratio in 12 2/3 innings. He gave up two hits and a walk Friday but was able to escape the outing without being charged with an earned run.

"After the Tampa series, felt a little fatigue," Martin said. "Tried to battle through it and thought I could get through it, and obviously I wasn't able to."

Pinder has tossed two scoreless innings in a pair of appearances with the Yankees. He owns a 2.63 ERA and 15:3 K:BB ratio in 13 2/3 innings with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.


Yankees recall Chasen Shreve, option Branden Pinder

(4/21/2015) The Yankees recalled pitcher Chasen Shreve from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Tuesday, optioning pitcher Branden Pinder to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Shreve has made two appearances for the Yankees this season, giving up one earned run in 4 2/3 innings while striking out four and issuing no walks. Pinder tossed two scoreless innings while with the team.


Yankees recall Branden Pinder, send down Joel De La Cruz

(4/15/2015) The Yankees recalled reliever Branden Pinder from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday. To clear a roster spot, reliever Joel De La Cruz was optioned to Double-A Trenton.

Pinder allowed three hits and no walks in three scoreless innings at Triple-A. He had five strikeouts.

De La Cruz did not make a relief appearance for New York following his promotion from the minors earlier this week.


Yankees option pitchers Domingo German, Branden Pinder to Triple-A

(3/17/2015) The Yankees have optioned pitchers Domingo German and Branden Pinder to Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes-Barre, the team announced.

German threw just one inning in spring training, allowing one hit with one strikeout and zero runs allowed. Pinder made four appearances, recording a 5.06 ERA with five hits allowed and three earned runs, all coming off home runs. He also added three strikeouts.


Yankees add Williams, Austin, two more to 40-man roster

(11/20/2014) The Yankees announced Thursday they added outfielder Tyler Austin, pitcher Danny Burawa, pitcher Branden Pinder and outfielder Mason Williams to the 40-man roster. The Yankees also sold the rights of infielder Zelous Wheeler to the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of Japan’s Pacific League.

Williams was considered the Yankees' third-best prospect by Baseball America heading into the 2014 season. 


Yankees send 12 to minor-league camp

(3/29/2013) The Yankees have reassigned infielders Dan Johnson, Jose Pirela and Gil Velazquez, catcher Bobby Wilson, outfielder Thomas Neal , right-handers Jim Miller, Branden Pinder and Preston Claiborne, left-handers Vidal Nuno, Josh Spence and Juan Cedeno to minor-league camp Friday, according to the Journal News.
