(12/11/2013) The Blue Jays have released pitcher Thad Weber, who has signed with a team in the Korean Baseball League. Weber made eight major-league appearances and went 12-6 with a 2.95 ERA, 2.95 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 114:25 K:BB ratio in 134 1/3 innings with two Triple-A teams last season

(8/20/2013) The Blue Jays optioned reliever Thad Weber back to Triple-A Buffalo Tuesday after he was recalled as the 26th man for Toronto in the doubleheader against the Yankees. 

Weber pitched in the first game of the doubleheader and gave up two runs -- one earned -- on three hits and a walk over two innings. He struck out two and his ERA is at 3.00 after eight major league appearances.

(8/19/2013) The Blue Jays have optioned pitcher Thad Weber back to Triple-A Buffalo Monday. The move clears room for Munenori Kawasaki to return off the paternity leave list. Weber should return to the club on Tuesday to play as the team's 26th man in a doubleheader at the Yankees.

(8/13/2013) The Blue Jays have recalled Thad Weber from Triple-A Buffalo Tuesday with Josh Johnson going on the disabled list, the National Post reports. General manager Alex Anthopoulos said either Weber or Esmil Rogers will start Wednesday against Boston in Johnson's place. 

Weber, who is 0-1 this season over four appearances for Toronto with a 2.25, has made 15 appearances and 12 starts for Triple-A Buffalo this season. He's 5-3 with a 2.74 ERA over his last 10 outings with 54 Ks over 65 2/3 innings. 

Rogers was recently demoted from the starting rotation. He would be the obvious choice to return to starting, though he's 3-7 on the season with Toronto with a 5.12 ERA. He's 2-5 with a 5.76 ERA over his last 12 starts.

(6/9/2013) The Blue Jays optioned reliever Thad Weber back to Triple-A Buffalo Sunday after a loss to the Rangers, MLB.com reports. Toronto will activate Darren Oliver from the disabled list Monday.

Weber appeared in Sunday's game after being called up earlier in the day. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning and needed only five pitches. His ERA is 2.25.

(6/9/2013) Toronto recalled reliever Thad Weber from Triple-A Buffalo Sunday. Weber pitched to a 2.25 ERA and 1.33 WHIP over six appearances with the Blue Jays earlier this season. 

Weber, expected to work in middle relief, made two appearances with Buffalo since his demotion and is 0-1 with three runs allowed over five innings. He surrendered two homers his last appearance against Lehigh Valley.

(5/28/2013) The Blue Jays optioned reliever Thad Weber to Triple-A Buffalo following an appearance  Tuesday against the Braves, the National Post reports. 

Weber took the loss, allowing the game-winning home run to Brian McCann in the 10th inning. He struck out a batter over one inning and the HR was the only hit he allowed. His ERA is 3.00.

(4/24/2013) The Padres selected the contract of Robbie Erlin from Triple-A Tucson Wednesday and optioned Thad Weber.

To make room on the 40-man roster, Logan Forsythe was transferred to the 60-day disabled list.

Erlin went 2-0 with a 4.73 ERA in three starts for Tucson.

(4/20/2013) The Padres have recalled right-hander Thad Weber from Triple-A Tucson Saturday after placing starter Tyson Ross on the 15-day disabled list.

Weber is 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA at Triple-A. He gave up two runs in 3 2/3 innings in a brief stint with the Padres last week. The Padres have not announced their fifth starter, but MLB.com speculates that Weber may earn the start Tuesday against the Brewers at Petco Park.
