Rob Wooten back with Brewers

(9/10/2014) The free-falling Brewers have promoted right-hander Rob Wooten from Triple-A Nashville. He will join the team for the Wednesday night game against Miami. He spent the last month in the minors.

Wooten struggled in 39 appearances for Milwaukee earlier in the year. He returns with a 1-4 record and 4.59 ERA despite just eight walks in 33 1/3 innings.

(8/8/2014) The Brewers optioned pitcher Rob Wooten to Triple-A Nashville after Friday's game to clear a roster spot for Saturday starter Mike Fiers.

Wooten faced just one batter Friday, giving up a hit that would turn into a earned run. He owns a 4.59 ERA and 29:8 K:BB ratio in 33 1/3 innings.

(7/21/2014) The Brewers announced Monday they selected the contract of reliever Jeremy Jeffress from Triple-A Nashville. To clear a spot on the active roster, Rob Wooten was optioned to Nashville.

To make room on the 40-man roster, Jim Henderson (shoulder) was transferred from the 15-day to 60-day disabled list.

(6/4/2014) Brewers pitcher Rob Wooten was hung with a loss Wednesday after giving up one earned run on one hit in two-thirds of an inning in his team's 6-4 loss to the Twins.

Wooten (1-3) gave up a two-out double in the seventh inning and was removed, with the runner coming home one batter later. He owns a 3.38 ERA and 16:4 K:BB ratio in 18 2/3 innings.

Wooten (1-2) surrendered a run-scoring single to Nick Hundley in the 10th which proved to be the difference. He yielded one run on two hits and no walks while striking out one in one inning pitched. He owns a 2.81 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP in 16 innings of relief.
