Dan Rosenbaum farm fresh for Nationals by Bill Passonno | CBSSports.com
(4/29/2013) After returning to the Nationals from the Rockies following spring training -- and subsequently moving back to a familiar role -- pitcher Dan Rosenbaum has blossomed into another standout option at Triple-A Syracuse. Rosenbaum was selected by Colorado in last year's Rule 5 draft, but was sent back to Washington after the Rockies' failed attempt to convert him to a middle reliever.
With Syracuse -- his first season at the Triple-A level -- the 25-year-old was placed back into the starting rotation and has yielded just three runs over 23 2/3 innings for a solid 1.14 ERA. However, Rosenbaum isn't a major strikeout force and has fanned just five batters this season and owns a career mark of 6.6 K/9.
