(8/1/2014) As expected, Reds outfielder Jay Bruce has been activated off the bereavement list Friday. He has been out since Monday following the death of his grandfather. Right-hander Curtis Partch has been sent down to Triple-A Louisville to make room.

(7/12/2014) The Reds recalled infielder Neftali Soto from Triple-A Louisville and optioned pitcher Curtis Partch to Louisville Saturday.

Soto is 3 for 28 with the Reds this season while also hitting .333/.371/.496 in 123 at-bats with Louisville. Partch walked three and struck out two in an inning Friday, giving him 5 1/3 scoreless innings in four appearances with the Reds.

Partch performed well in his short stint with Cincinnati in 4 1/3 shutout innings. He gave up just one hit with three walks and three strikeouts.

(5/1/2014) Shoulder tendinitis has landed Reds left-hander Tony Cingrani on the 15-day disabled list. Righty Curtis Partch has been recalled from Triple-A Louisville to take his place on the roster.

Cingrani has been mediocre since his first start. He is 2-2 in his last five outings, during which he has surrendered 12 runs and 15 walks in 25 1/3 innings. He lasted just four innings against the weak-hitting Cubs on Wednesday.


Reds bring Sean Marshall up, send Curtis Partch down

(4/19/2014) The Reds have activated relief pitcher Sean Marshall off the disabled list after a rehab stint and returned fellow right-hander Curtis Partch back to Triple-A Louisville.

Marshall has been out all season with a shoulder injury that also cost him most of 2013. He had been a productive member of the bullpen for the Cubs and Reds for several years before losing time to the injury.

(6/8/2013) Reds reliever Curtis Partch was recalled from Triple-A Louisville Saturday, taking the roster spot opened up by Logan Ondrusek's option to Louisville.

Partch has a 3.74 ERA in 21 2/3 innings for Lousville. If the 26-year-old appears in a game for the Reds, it will be his first chance to pitch in the majors.
