Preston Guilmet brought up Thursday

(7/10/2014) The Orioles recalled pitcher Preston Guilmet from Triple-A Norfolk Thursday, to replace Bud Norris on the active roster.

Guilmet was with the team for a doubleheader last week, and has a 5.79 ERA in 9 1/3 innings in the majors.

(7/5/2014) Orioles pitcher Preston Guilmet has been optioned to Triple-A Norfolk.

Guilmet was recalled as the 26th man for Saturday's doubleheader against the Red Sox, but he did not appear in either game. He returns to a 4.60 ERA and 34:7 K:BB ratio in 31 1/3 innings with Norfolk.

(5/30/2014) Orioles reliever Preston Guilmet took the loss Thursday night against the Astros in Houston.

Guilmet served up a go-ahead two-run home run to George Springer in the seventh inning, which proved to be the difference. He yielded two runs on two hits and no walks while striking out one in one inning of work. He owns a 2.57 ERA and a 0.47 WHIP in seven innings of relief.

(5/24/2014) Orioles right-handed reliever Preston Guilmet  was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Friday, but he didn't go anywhere. He stuck around because he is expected to be "recalled" Sunday to take the roster spot of slugger Chris Davis, who is heading out on paternity leave.

Guilmet performed well against his former Cleveland team Friday night with 2 1/3 hitless innings. He has yet to yield a hit in four innings pitched this season.

(9/1/2013) The Indians made five promotions to the roster as part of September callups Sunday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Added to the roster for the stretch run were right-handed pitchers Preston Guilmet and Blake Wood and lefty Nick Hagadone. The Tribe also purchased the contracts of catcher Kelly Shoppach and infielder Jose Ramirez from Columbus and Double-A Akron, respectively.

The 20-year-old Ramirez hit .272 over 113 games for Akron this season with 38 stolen bases. All of the relievers spent some time up in the majors this season, except for Wood, who last pitched in the big leagues in 2011 with the Royals.

(8/8/2013) The Indians optioned pitcher Preston Guilmet back to Triple-A Columbs after Thursday's 10-3 loss to the Tigers. Guilmet, who was recalled earlier in the day by the Indians, allowed four earned runs on six hits and one walk in 2 2/3 innings without striking out a batter.

Thursday's appearance was just Guilmet's second for the Indians. He is 4-4 with a 1.95 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 64:13 K:BB ratio in 55 1/3 innings over 42 appearances with Columbus.

(7/7/2013) The Indians purchased the contract of pitcher Preston Guilmet from Triple-A Columbus Sunday. Pitching in relief for Cleveland, Guilmet will make his major league debut whenever he's called upon for the first time. 

The 25-year-old has a 2.32 ERA and 2-4 record over 34 relief appearances with Columbus this season. He has 50 Ks over 42 2/3 innings.
